Holland America Westerdam!

After being transferred, Sophia and I headed for the Westerdam. The good thing about that transfer was that we didn't have to fly anywhere. They ported out of Ft. Lauderdale. So we stayed in a hotel and actually had a day off! :) Next morning, we woke up, ate breakfast and headed to the port.

The Holland America Line has an older clientele. Most of them had been on many cruises.

As soon as we got on board we had to go to a class, then drop off our luggage, borrow some spa uniforms (which were at least 4 sizes too big), head up for the spa meeting and to start embarkation day.. which is just a really big word for the day we get new passangers.

This is the gym. It was open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
They did spinning, yoga, and pilates classes a few days out of the cruise.

This is the Thermal Suite and Hydrotherapy Pool.
Week passes are $35 and daily passes were $15.

In the changing areas we had a dry sauna and wet steam that were free of charge.
Most of the time we would close the spa at 8 instead of staying till 10, because it was slow.

Heres some more pictures of the ship.

This is the Piano Bar.

The casino.

The Northern Lights club.

Unhappy passengers at the lifeboat drill. :)

On the westerdam they had two bars for the employees. The Officers Bar (aka the ob, which Sophia and I called the tampon bar.. hah! Only the officers can go there. They allow Steiners (the spa) and the dancers to go up there.) and then the crew bar.. where everybody can go, but nobody does.
Sophia (Canada) and I.

I feel really bad.. I can't remember her name, but shes from Jamaica. She was the other one who stayed on for two weeks with us to help out with the jazz cruise.

Laura (Shes from Ireland. Can you tell? She's whiter than me!) Sophia, and I up in the OB.

This is Andy from England. He was in the band on board.

Laura, Ashnee from South Africa, and I.

Jayson (USA), Megan (South Africa) and I.

Pablo from Spain and I.

Crazy andy.

We love our beer.

It was sooo hard to find an open washer/dryer there. I finally found one and then it broke. I had to dig and drain my clothes out of the washer and put them in a new one. I love this picture!

When we wern't busy in the spa we we're "supposed" to go out and promote the spa, but we just hid in our treatment rooms! So we had a little photoshoot in Jaysons room.

Random beach pictures :)

After our fun two weeks on the Westerdam, Sophia headed to another princess ship and I headed to the Carnival Ecstasy.
